That’s 100% correct statement. Obviously if I sold you a pick and boasted the tout being rock solid and it lost the chances of a follow up buy would be slim. But what if I told you I could change that? Not just selling picks but investing sometime writing and posting articles online.

Handicappers mistake what the tout business or selling pick online really is when it comes to owning a website, your sports picks is very much secondary to building a great storyline to support your website. Take a look at the picture below and let me ask you that question again….

Of course if your in the sports handicapping business, or watch sports you already know who the guy is in the picture. He is a popular TV “NFL analysts”. My point being, what if his pick lost? Would you buy from him again?

Why? In most cases because we trust what he is saying, another big reason people buy is how likable a person is. You already know a good amount of your pick sold will never purchase again, BUT you can change that. Building a good story can make all the difference in a follow up purchase win or lose, because people are not buying the picks they are buying your story, they are excited about an idea, they want to live your dream too.

For the life of me I can’t sell a legitimate business idea, come invest 10k for a 3-6% return is like watching paint dry. But you tell someone they have chance to make a million dollars, and you have their full attention. That is what makes businesses like this so much fun. You can write your own story. Most handicappers are good at picking, good hustlers. In poker Stu Ungar was legendary, I played with Stu many times. Stu spent most of the time broke, but the stories that surrounded his life only made you want to know more about him. The true big players in the game winning with words not picks.

My Tip: Just adding better details about how you bet or your betting theory can attract similar minded people that want to buy picks with your betting style. But most importantly if you going todo anything, BE CREATIVE> 🙂
