A Superfecta bet allows bettors to wager on the top four finishers. Because such bets come with extremely long odds due to the difficulty of accurately predicting the top four finishers, many tracks and off-track-betting locations will allow bets of as little as 10 cents on a Superfecta bet. Bettors also can choose to box a Superfecta and win so long as they predict the correct horses to finish in the top four spots in any order. A Quinella bet essentially is the same as a box Exacta bet and requires the bettor to predict the top two horses regardless of order of finish. Although essentially the same bets, the odds for a box Exacta typically are better than the odds offered on a Quinella bet.
