When a bettor is organized and has most and if possible all horses running at a particular venue tracked by any number of factors but primarily race history, venue, running surface and track conditions, the bettor can make more informed decisions and bet the percentages to give the highest possibility of success. Those horses that win most often in the top category would be obvious favorites, unless they are running against each other. Races that have two or more top horses running in them might be good options for exacta box and trifecta box wagers. Weather and track conditions can impact betting options, and those conditions all can be tracked. If it’s cold and rainy out and the track is muddy, there likely is a horse that does particularly well under such conditions and might be up against horses that run strong when track conditions are ideal but run poorly when the weather and track surface are terrible.
